Purpose

In 2017. Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure Conference temporarily relocated from its more typical location (London) to Singapore. Singapore, with its limited land area and growing population, faces unique challenges when it comes to infrastructure. From water to transportation to land reclamation (and a whole lot more), Singapore is investing heavily in and committed to infrastructure research to stay ahead of any problems that may occur in the future.

Topcon Exhibit at 2017 Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure Conference by Idea International, Inc - 6

Topcon Corporation is a Japanese optical equipment manufacturer for ophthalmology and surveying. As a premier sponsor for the exclusive event, Topcon wanted a cutting-edge design that fit their overall messaging and products. Based in Tokyo, the company is a global alliance partner with Bentley Systems, an American software company that develops, manufactures, licenses, sells, and supports computer software and services for the design, construction, and operation of infrastructure.

Solution

Known for its precision measurement and positioning technology, Topcon was one of the four alliance sponsors for the event. With an 18-hour window for set up, Idea International needed to ensure everything was in place and on time. The team worked in split shifts to eliminate downtime, adhering to a carefully laid-out schedule for each supplier to meet timing expectations. We worked closely with the venue. the Sands Expo and Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands, in order to get priority move-in.

The Topcon Japan exhibit featured a bright yellow grid ceiling structure which allowed overhead lighting. This grid was supported by a back wall covered with a photograph of a cityscape infrastructure and a pillar with icons showing the different areas where Topcon excels. The blue raised platform floor was an extension of the back wall photograph. Seating and a demo station provided networking opportunities.

Key Features of this Booth Include:

  1. Branding: The Topcon logo is prominently displayed on multiple surfaces, ensuring brand visibility.
  2. Product Displays: Several devices, counters, and screens showcase Topcon’s latest products and technologies.
  3. Seating Area: attendees can sit and engage with the representatives using the stools placed around the counters.
  4. Informational Icons: The booth’s side pillar displays various icons representing applications of Topcon’s technology, such as surveying, construction, and agriculture.
  5. Lighting: The lighting is bright and modern, creating a professional and inviting atmosphere.

Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure Conference was held in Singapore again in 2023, demonstrating that this was an important location for infrastructure research presenting a different perspective than when the conference was held in London.
