NeosCreative, International Exhibition Specialists, has reached out to us to partner with them on projects in East Asia (China, Korea, and Japan) over the past few years. This time we teamed up to help their client, the Datwyler Group, with their exhibit at Wearable Expo 2023 in Tokyo. In the process, we put to rest NeosCreative’s designer Jody Poulter’s initial panic when we told her that we would use wallpaper:
In Japan, walls are finished in paper,” she wrote. “As a European-based designer that scared the living daylights out of me…until we worked with Idea International Inc. Just look how fantastic the walls look when crafted like this!”
Jody made a video of the entire process, and the stand and the show were successes for the Datwyler Group.
NeosCreative has high expectations for service and quality. They contacted us at Idea International, knowing that Japan is a unique market when it comes to the use of materials and show regulations such as height and setback rules. We collaborated to meet the client’s expectations through clear, two-way communication.
While NeosCreative provided the overall concept, we value-engineered the design to meet the budget and the show rules and regulations. In addition, we provided continual updates to the fabrication process, and with regular video calls, working together was as smooth as if we were in adjoining offices.
